Siem Reap - Day 5 & thoughts

March 09, 2014

We left the hotel around 7 something by the hotel's Tuk Tuk. Just take note on the timing because the Tuk Tuk we had was an old one, it took us so long to get to the airport that we had to run towards the check in counters and immigration department to board our flight.

This is my first trip for 2014 and I am glad we did something meaningful and different. Travels and tours are always about us, what we want to see, where we want to go, what is there to eat. Exploring the world should not be just that, to me, it has always been a learning experience. A chance to know and understand myself even better. Yes, we always learn about another culture, history when traveling, but this trip thought me something far more important - which is to be appreciative of what God has blessed us with. It is saddening to see kids not receiving proper education, not being loved, not even having food to keep their tummy full!

I urge everyone to do something in return of all these traveling experiences and beautiful pictures. A simple act of kindness can make a huge difference.

I will be traveling to Yogyakarta, Indonesia next. So, stay tuned!
